Parent's
Choice Award
Excerpt from the Jamie Lee article about Music Time for Parents
and Grandparents, Tacoma Tribune, May 27, 2007:
"Robyn
Dupuis of Gig Harbor is one whos found appreciation in
a musical path that didnt require validation from the
likes of Idol judge Simon Cowell.
Dupuis,
who teamed up with her mother, Pat Denson, of Des Moines, Iowa,
wowed enough Parents Choice Award judges to earn an honor
for the album Music Time for Parents and Grandparents.
The
56-song album, released in September, received the Parents
Choice Award Seal of Approval. It is given to wholesome products
that aid in childrens development: emotionally,
physically, socially and academically.
We
loved the simplicity of the idea and the full collection of
those very simple childhood songs, said Claire S. Green,
president of the Parents Choice foundation of Maryland.
Theyre all sung clearly and slowly enough to hear.

Customer Reviews
"I
love all those old songs. I learned most of them when I was
a child myself. Now, with the help of you and your mother, I'll
be able to teach them with my daughter to my granddaughter!
It's a great thing that you did." - Jan Anderson, Ames,
IA
"The
Music Time CD of classic children's songs is a treasure! The
songs are short, sweetly sung and the lyrics easy to understand.
I bought 5 and have given them all away as gifts to parents,
grandparents, families and caregivers that I know. And it's
so convenient to always have such a unique gift on hand! Baby
shower, birthday, Christmas, special thank-you gifts---I always
have something to give that no on else has. It's inexpensive
and beautifully done. I love it. " - Dee Dee Holser, Gig
Harbor, WA
"Music
Time has provided my daughter and I hours of fun time singing,
playing and connecting!" - Debbie Petitpain, Charleston,
SC
"Sounds
like a great stocking stuffer for our young families. Not to
mention that, in spite of all the rocking chair songs when the
kids were young, I now do a bit of la-la-la singing myself!"
- Carla Sutherland, Waterloo, IA
"I
love the CD Music Time for Parents and Grandparents. I've given
three as gifts already and the recipients are raving about it!
This is a great gift!" - Meg Fagan, Newton, NJ
"Robyn,
I ordered your wonderful "Music Time for Parents and Grandparents"
and received a copy very promptly. Now that I have had an opportunity
to play it, I want to order two additional copies for new babies
in England (in-laws)!" - Ruth Swenson, Ames, IA
"I
have a hard time listening to kids' CDs because they're typically
too shrill or cutesy or just overdone. This CD is perfect because
the songs are simply performed with pretty and playful (not
grating) voices. Both my two-year-old and nine-month-old love
the fun tunes, and we are all learning the words to sing along."
~ Tiffany Gresh de Berry, Lake Worth, FL
"When
our children were little (approximately 30 years ago), I frequently
played an album on my stereo that was filled with many of the
same tunes you've included on your new CD. The stereo is now
stored in the attic, and I've looked for a CD like yours, with
no success. Then, VOILA!, here came the article about your new
musical venture." - Mary Ann Moore, Waterloo, IA
"I
have two friends who are pregnant and one who just had a baby.
Music Time was the right gift at the right time. After listening
to it they realized how much they had forgotten and how much
their babies would have missed out on without the refresher."

Des
Moines Register Music
Critic Review
Excerpt from the Kyle Munson (Des Moines Register Music Critic)
review of Music Time for Parents and Grandparents, Des Moines
Register, October 24, 2006:
"Music Time for Parents and Grandparents" has an archival,
preservationist mission but isn't utterly out of step with current
music trends.
This homespun family project might never have materialized had
Dupuis been able to track down a similar CD already on the market,
"some sort of a basic resource with a basic melody line
and words very clearly, nothing real fancy or chipmunk voices
or anything like that."
